For those who don't know it already, Pennsic is my favorite place. I love the atmosphere, the people, the creativity and to be honest, I love playing dress up and eating breakfast at least twice every day (yes, Second Breakfast is a tradition!). Pennsic is where I really relax.
Even a month after the event, I am still wrapped up in my post-Pennsic excitement. I learned so many new things this year, including how to spin with a drop spindle and how to make glass beads.
I picked up some very cool items while shopping, was invited to an amazing dinner at Andlecrag and danced in a wonderful show hosted by Carmine and the Pennsic All Star Hafla Band! I was honored to perform there! Of course, there was much more dancing at other haflas and parties, and also many nights of just enjoying being there.
I also had a great time just hanging out with my boyfriend and my Household, whether in camp or Your Inner Vagabond or in classes. The people are a large part of what makes Pennsic amazing.
Both the conversations I had at the display and the work of others being shown there gave me great inspiration for future projects.
I am planning something pretty big for next years show!
What I did not do this year, and this is REALLY unusual for me, was take alot of photos. I have one picture of myself from the display and that is it. I spent more time experiencing War than recording it. And I think that was ok, as there is always next year!
